Moruga and Miracle Ministries get 4 March date, as Big 5 resumes

The Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Big Five competition will resume on Monday 4 March, with Moruga Secondary hosting Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School (MMPHS) from 3pm at Tompierre Trace, Moruga.

And, on Friday 8 March, the competition should finally come to its conclusion with Blanchisseuse Secondary travelling to Signal Hill Secondary while MMPHS are at home against St Augustine Secondary.

St Augustine Secondary have already sealed their promotion to the 2024 SSFL Premier Division competition. There are two places available alongside them, with the other four zonal champions all in the fray.

For the “Moruga Scorpions”, their fate is no longer in their hands. They must win by at least four goals on Monday and hope that St Augustine defeat MMPHS and there is a clear winner between Signal Hill and Blanchisseuse.

After registration issues, controversy over the operation of the SSFL Credentials Committee and a wave of flu-like symptoms within the Miracle Ministries camp, the end of the 2023 SSFL season is finally within sight.
