TTSL result: Santa Rosa go second, after whipping P’Valley/D’go Martin

FC Santa Rosa leapfrogged Cunupia FC and Matura Re-United FC to second place in the Trinidad and Tobago Super League (TTSL) this evening, albeit having played a game more than their rivals.

Called into action on Emancipation Day, Santa Rosa came from behind to whip table proppers, Petit Valley/Diego Martin United (PVDMU) 4-1 at the St Anthony’s College ground in Westmoorings.

Kazim Donald gave PVDMU a dream start with a goal in the fourth minute. Easy come, easy go. The “Big Cannons” equalised in the ninth minute through skipper Ryan “Fry” Stewart and grabbed two more first items through Kheelon Mitchell and Alfie James in the 11th and 29th minutes respectively.

And full back Noel Williams rounded off the score summary with a second half strike, which ensured a comfortable finish to the affair.

TTSL action continues tomorrow with third place Matura hosting Cunupia from 4pm at Valencia Secondary while leaders Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) will tackle seventh place Police FC from 4pm at the St Mary’s College ground on Serpentine Road.

Defending champions Guaya United, who are in fifth at present, travel to Port of Spain to challenge newly promoted RSSR FC from 7pm at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
