Pro League scores: San Juan Jabloteh go first after last gasp win over Rangers

San Juan Jabloteh leapfrogged W Connection to first position in the 2017 Pro League standings yesterday afternoon after a 2-0 win over St Ann’s Rangers at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar.

Jabloteh, who are unbeaten so far this season with three wins and a draw, are one point clear of W Connection and North East Stars respectively—although the latter team have a game in hand against defending champions, Central FC.

Still, it was not a straightforward affair for Jabloteh who had to wait until the 88th minute to go ahead courtesy of a penalty from Jamaican defender Adrian Reid. Lively winger Aaquil Campbell added an insurance item, two minutes into stoppage time, to bury Rangers.

The result saw Rangers slip one spot to ninth position in the 10-team table with just one draw to show from three outings so far this term.

Rangers return to the field on Tuesday when they face Club Sando from 6pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium in a rescheduled fixture.
