The People’s Partnership’s gift list to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) according to today’s Trinidad Express:

Court room and office space: $7.7 million.

Information and Communications Technology: $3.97 million.

Court transcriptionsists: $700,000.

Secure courier service: $1.8 million.

Sophisticated laser spying device in the conference room: Unspecified costs

Budget for investigative officers to allow independent exploration of corruption allegations in sensitive cases: Zero

There are some things that, if implemented, could make a difference in keeping State bodies and Ministers accountable as they conduct the people’s business;

For everything else, count on the Government.
