Intercol 25: ‘Naps’ brush aside ‘Pres Lions’; Five Rivers maul Holy Faith

Naparima College moved to within two games of their first Coca Cola National Intercol title in seven years, as they brushed aside rivals Presentation College (San Fernando) 4-0 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva today to claim the 2025 South Intercol trophy.

The “Pres Lions” were left to rue a missed penalty chance as Naparima goalkeeper Mikhail Clement dived low to his left to keep out Presentation sharp-shooter Isaiah “Baby Hulk” Jacobs when the score was 0-0.

“Naps” never looked back. Striker Riquelme Phillips bagged a second half hattrick while Xarion France got a stoppage time item off an Arron Raymond cross to complete the triumph.

The Girls National Intercol quarterfinal affair between Five Rivers Secondary and Holy Faith Convent (Couva) was even more one-sided, with the former team running away 9-0 winners.

Hackeemar Goodridge scored four times for the East Zone champions, all from inside the 18-yard box, as Five Rivers maintained their unbeaten run so far this season.

Five Rivers face the Tobago Intercol winners next, in the Girls National semifinals.
