Intercol 24: Miracle Ministries PHS do Central boys and girls double

Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School (MMPHS) completed the Central Zone Intercol double on Monday as they lifted the boys and girls zonal trophies.

For the MMPHS boys, it was a historic evening as they downed Chaguanas North Secondary 4-2 for their maiden Intercol trophy.

It was some respite for the team that were relegated from the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premier Division in their first top flight dalliance.

Miracle Ministries will play the Tobago champs next in the National Intercol quarterfinal round on Tuesday 26 November at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.


The MMPHS girls are back-to-back Intercol champions. And they snared their second trophy with a 8-1 rout of Holy Faith Convent.

Kyanna Isaac led all scorers with four goals while Aaquila Virgil got two and Amiya Cumberbatch and Gabriella Lezama got one goal apiece.

The MMPHS girls will tackle either Pleasantville Secondary or Moruga Secondary in the National Semifinal on Sunday 1 December.
