Two goals and a clean sheet saw Chelsea right back Reece James emerge as the unlikely star of match day 10 in the England Premier League, as he helped the London lords to a 3-0 win over Newcastle—and put a spring in the step of every fantasy football player lucky enough to have him in his or her squad.
For ex-St Benedict’s College Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) stand-out Dia Hunte, there was a tasty reward for his selections as he ended October atop the Wired868 Lime Kickers standings with 737 points.

Hunte had James (21 points), Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (10) and Liverpool star Mo Salah (10 as captain) in his ‘KingPool’ line-up which racked up an impressive 74 points on the weekend.
It was enough for him to slip past Kapil Ramcharan’s ‘A Kevin 3Pointer’ (732) and Daniel Daniel Geelalsingh’s ‘Geeze and ages’ (717) at the finish line.
Ramcharan got minus three points from Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte, who was sent off in their 2-0 home loss to Crystal Palace, while Geelalsingh’s three-man frontline of Hwang Hee-Chan (Wolves), Michail Antonio (West Ham) and Ivan Toney (Brentford) contributed a sum total of six points.
And those are the slender margins on which the Wired868 Lime Kicker KFC prizes hang.
Joining Hunte in the KFC enclosure is Jocelyn Scotland, whose ‘Scot11’ outfit tallied 286 points to lead all players for the month of October. Scotland held off Ryan N’s ‘Trinichester’ (284) and Sameer Manwah’s ‘Benchwarmers FC’ (283) to win the second KFC prize for the month.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is well beaten by a strike from Brighton attacker Enock Mwepu during match day 10 of the England Premier League.

Former Carib Brewery marketing manager and Trinidad and Tobago Super League (TTSL) board member Colin Murray missed that reward by a lick of paint.
Murray’s ‘Soca Stars’ topped all fantasy football players in match day 10 with 82 points… and might have easily tallied another 13 points had he promoted Burley defender Matthew Lowton, who got a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Brentford FC!
Murray, who won a haircut from celebrity barber Rudd Gonzales’ ‘Cuts R Us’ for his sizzling finish to October, ranks 30th among the Wired868 Lime Kickers 500+ plus participants. Scotland is 105th.
And Mr Live Wire?
Well, ‘Birdie Wick 868’ mustered 57 points in the final match window after Cristiano Ronaldo rewarded his faith with 12 points in a 3-0 rout of Tottenham. It kept Live Wire in 128th position and running out of patience with Manchester City’s full-time model, part-time winger, Jack Grealish. Steups!

Burdie and Barney Show producer Corie Sheppard is 36th with ‘Winners’, who picked up 65 points. Show-off.
More realistic targets for ‘Birdie Wick’ in the next window are Brian Springer’s ‘TriniTuchel FC’ (79th) and Paul Charles’ ‘FC Arselona’ while Scott Rodriguez’s ‘Azzurri’ (142nd) and James Saunders’ ‘JrDynamite FC’ (156th) are a little too close for comfort.
Let’s see what a certain Antonio Conte can do with Spurs’ misfiring striker, Harry Kane, next weekend!
Week Ten Winners:
