Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Under-17 Team head coach Randolph Boyce named a 23-member squad today for two friendlies in Peru, as they crank up preparations for next month’s Concacaf Under-17 Qualifiers.
The young Soca Warriors are scheduled to face the Peru National Under-17 Team on 28 and 30 January in Lima.

Boyce told the TTFA Media that the games should offer “valuable international exposure and a timely test against South American opposition, as they finetune their tactics, cohesion, and match readiness” ahead of next month’s qualifiers.
“What we have been doing is playing [local club teams] above our age group,” Boyce told the TTA Media, “so this will serve us excellently—playing a U-17 team in the same age group, and seeing how they approach it.
“If they would be more aggressive, more patient, more disciplined; in terms of the four moments of the game that we would want them to apply certain things that we ask of them.”

From Tuesday 3 February, Trinidad and Tobago host a qualifying group that includes Mexico, Barbados, Saint Martin, and Sint Maarten. The group winner advances to the Concacaf Under-17 Championship, which serves as a qualifying series for the 2026 Qatar Fifa Under-17 World Cup.
Despite weighing up the offerings of over a dozen overseas-born players, Boyce named just one player from Trinidad and Tobago’s diaspora, Inter Miami goalkeeper Levi Williams, in his 23-member squad for Peru.
Williams, 15, represented Trinidad and Tobago at Concacaf Under-17 and Under-15 level last year and is considered to be an exciting prospect.

Former St Benedict’s College flanker Akel Vesprey, now based in Jamaica with Munro College, is the only other player in Boyce’s travelling party who is not based in Trinidad and Tobago.
Naparima College, the reigning Premier Division and National Intercol champions, have six players in the final squad—including attacker Adasa Richardson and goalkeeper Mikhail Clement, who were both members of Trinidad and Tobago’s squad at the 2025 Concacaf Under-17 Qualifiers.
Combative San Juan North Secondary midfielder Daniel Lewis, St Mary’s College playmaker Finn De Freitas, St Anthony’s College utility player Adriel Faure and Signal Hill Secondary winger J’meke Watkins are among the players set to make their international debuts under Boyce.

Watkins is the only Tobago player in the squad.
Among the more noticeable absentees are: Deron Blackman (St Mary’s College), Jaimarley John (St Anthony’s College), Ackim Duncan (Signal Hill Secondary), Kevez Quintero (Trinity College, Moka), Essien Thomas and Cristiano Hinds (both Arima North Secondary).
Boyce, who relied on nationwide screening to vet his squad, would feel confident that he has seen all the talent available before naming his team, though.
