SSFL 24: Signal Hill edge Trinity East in Trincity; Fatima, St Augustine set new date

Signal Hill Secondary marked their return to the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) top flight today with an impressive result on the road today, as they edged Trinity College East 3-2 in a rescheduled game at Trincity.

Kyle James bagged the second treble of the season—after Presentation College (San Fernando) forward Caleb Boyce’s beavertrick against Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School in midweek—as the Tobagonians outgunned the “Blue Hawks”.

Midfielders Deisean Plaza and Dexter Croal scored one goal apiece for Trinity East.

Fatima College and St Augustine Secondary will have to wait a bit longer for their rescheduled match, which will be played on Monday 23 September.

Fatima, the defending champions, are due to host Naparima College on Saturday 21 September while they welcome San Juan North Secondary to Mucurapo Road on Wednesday 25 September.

It could be a pivotal five-day spell for coach Hutson Charles’ troops in this season.
