CWI announces contracted regional cricketers for 2022-23

The Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the contracted 15-man squads for the next calendar year, after last Friday’s Professional Cricketers Draft—which took place over two rounds via a video-call with representatives from all six territorial board franchises.

The Windward Islands Volcanoes selected the Barbados pair of allrounder Justin Greaves and wicketkeeper Tevyn Walcott with their draft picks. Both have played first-class cricket for the Barbados Pride, while Greaves was also a member of the Emerging Players team which won the CG United Super50 Cup back in 2019.

Otherwise, the other five franchises all picked players from their home territories.

The respective players will form the base of the teams that compete in the Super50 Cup and the four-day West Indies Championship.
