First Citizens Cup result: Morvant Caledonia upset Central FC on penalties

Defending Pro League champions, Central FC, will not challenge for the First Citizens Cup after they were eliminated on kicks from the penalty mark by Morvant Caledonia United this afternoon at the Morvant Recreation Ground.

Both teams were goalless after 90 minutes of regulation time and, from the spot, the Morvant Caledonia troops held their nerve to pull off a notable absence. It was the second successive result for the “Eastern Stallions” at home too, after a 1-1 draw with Defence Force in Pro League action on 4 November.
