W Connection starts Pro Bowl title defence

DIRECTV W Connection will be aiming for its fourth major domestic trophy this season when the “Savonetta Boys” kicks off their Digicel Pro Bowl title defence at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain tonight.

W Connection plays Caledonia AIA from 8 pm in a double header, which kicks off with Police FC versus San Juan Jabloteh at 6 pm.

Simultaneously, at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Point Fortin Civic faces Defence Force from 6 pm while Central FC and North East Stars clash from 8 pm.

The Pro Bowl carries a $100,000 first prize and is a winner-take-all competition.

Connection has already lifted the Digicel Pro League, TTFA FA Trophy and Toyota Classic Cup tournaments along with the pre-season Digicel Charity Shield curtain raiser. The only other local team to collect silverware this season is Central, who snatched the First Citizens Cup and  Lucozade Sport Goal Shield titles.
