The Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Under-17 Team closed off their tour to Jamaica yesterday evening with a 1-0 defeat to the Mount Pleasant Academy in St Ann’s, Jamaica.
The young Soca Warriors played three times in Jamaica and, on each occasion, a solitary goal separated the two teams.

Trinidad and Tobago won their opening encounter against Jamaica 1-0 last Friday before suffering a 2-1 loss to the junior Reggae Boyz on Sunday.

His Naparima College teammates Jaydon Caprietta, a pacy left back, and 13-year-old forward Adasa Richardson also announced themselves with promising showings in Jamaica—as did Presentation College (San Fernando) student and Point Fortin Youth Academy player Jimally Renne, who can operate in central defence or midfield.
The National Under-17s return home at 8.40pm tonight at the Piarco International Airport.

We scored two goals in three matches, adopting a defensive strategy and posture even against a club team, conceding four and losing twice. You can’t pick little kids, play for results that don’t come, and then point to the age of the team. From my outsider’s perch, it seems to me that the entire strategic approach to the building and preparation of this team, for a three to five match tournament, is arbitrary and confused. Where is the technical committee? The objectives of any development programme or campaign should be decided by the technical committee.
