Crime Watch misses global “scoop”

Al Jazeera, a Qatari-owned television station, refused to air footage of a Toulouse gunman’s shooting spree, which included the murder of three children, out of respect for the victims, their family and the country and because the clips would add nothing new to the tragedy.

Al Jazeera‘s move follows the British broadcaster’s refusal to show the fallen Bolton footballer Fabrice Muamba, whose heart stopped during a FA Cup match last week. Wired868 dismisses as rumour any suggestion that Crime Watch host, Ian Alleyne, is being treated for shock.
