Suspend them! PCA advises Commissioner to suspend officers in Morvant killings

The following is a press statement from the communications department of the Police Complaints Authority (PCA):

The Director of the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) David West has formally advised the Commissioner of police that officers involved in the 27 June fatal shooting of Mr Joel Jacobs, Mr Israel Moses Clinton and Mr Noel Diamond at Juman Drive, 2nd Caledonia, Morvant should be immediately suspended.

It was not enough to save their lives, as they were gunned down moments later by police officers on 27 June 2020.

The PCA’s Deputy Director Michelle Solomon-Baksh has also briefed the Director of Public Prosecutions on the same matter. The PCA advises that this investigation is highly sensitive and no further details will be provided since its investigation may be prejudiced.
