Teenaged forward Josh Toussaint scored the decisive goal for MIC-It St Ann’s Rangers tonight as the Pro League’s table proppers stunned defending champions Central FC 1-0 at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.
It was Central’s first loss this season and their second straight weekend without a win, after the “Couva Sharks” were held goalless by Morvant Caledonia United on 30 June.

The result means that Central remain in fifth place and five points shy from the summit while Rangers climbed from 10th the eighth place.
Neither of joint leaders W Connection or North East Stars were able to take advantage as they played to a 2-2 draw in the second game of the Couva double header. Connection must have thought they were home and dry as they led 2-0 when the game entered the final 10 minutes, after items from Neil Benjamin Jr and Marcus Joseph.
However, an 83rd minute item from Jameel Neptune and an extra time equaliser by Kordell Samuel—both pre-season signings from Morvant Caledonia—ensured that Derek King remains the only unbeaten coach in the Pro League so far this season.
Elsewhere at the Mahaica Oval, Point Fortin Civic managed their third straight draw after a goalless finish against Police FC. But it was not enough to keep Civic from slipping to the bottom of the standings after Rangers’ improbable triumph.
