Dear Editor: CSport is betraying its subscribers and EPL fans; they must come clean!

“[…] We feel betrayed, disappointed, and hurt having to go weeks without being able to view our favourite teams compete… We the subscribers paid for a product that we are not receiving.

“[…] I’m calling on CSport to make a proper public apology to their subscribers with a truthful explanation of what exactly is going on and the steps they will take to rectify this situation soonest…”

The following Letter to the Editor on recent blackouts of CSport’s England Premier League coverage was submitted to Wired868 by Chica Emery of Trinidad and Tobago:

I’m writing to express my sheer frustration over the non-coverage of the English Premier League (EPL) over the past three weeks.

As an avid football fan, myself and thousands across the Caribbean have been let down by CSport who failed to deliver on their promise of broadcasting the full 380 games in the 2023-24 season.

We have been left in the dark on game days of recent times with absolutely no explanation of substance to us the subscribers. We feel betrayed, disappointed, and hurt having to go weeks without being able to view our favourite teams compete.

CSport has offered no explanation to subscribers beyond this message.

Many of us look forward to the weekend just for the EPL—the excitement that the biggest most watched football league in the world brings to us cannot be described in words. It is as if no one at CSport is listening to the weekly cries of subscribers on their Facebook page.

This lack of service is unacceptable. We the subscribers paid for a product that we are not receiving.

The subscription fees for CSport are $77.99 USD per year, $7.99 USD per month or $3 USD weekly. Paying for a product we are not receiving seems tantamount to fraud in my opinion.

Instead of being honest with their subscribers, CSport is busy adding other sports such as American football, NBA, COPA and Extreme desert racing. Based on the rate they are going soon they will add toe wrestling and dog surfing—everything but the English Premier League we paid for!

VertiCast Media Group Limited’s CSport seems to have bitten off more than they can chew after securing the exclusive rights for the English Premier League back in the year 2022.

I’m calling on CSport to make a proper public apology to their subscribers with a truthful explanation of what exactly is going on and the steps they will take to rectify this situation soonest.

Although no amount of money can make-up for the games missed, I’m also calling on CSport to offer a rebate. Failing to do this, Mr Oliver McIntosh, president and CEO of VertiCast should do the right thing and relinquish the rights to the English Premier League back to the previous broadcasters.

Verticast president and CEO Oliver McIntosh.

Just give it up, sir, because you have failed miserably!

Editor’s Note: Wired868 reached out to CSport founder Oliver McIntosh on Sunday 11 February for comment on the issues with their EPL coverage. There was no response up until the time of publication.

  1. For a few brief but painstaking days, I thought I had issues with my devices and/or subscription. After ample research online, it was revealed that Csport itself was the problem. Their service is so disgustingly deplorable, that I’m yet to even receive an email response for the past month after requesting a rebate following their failure to retain coverage of the prestigious EPL. I have since unsubscribed and have no intention of returning to their service.

Anyway….the mutts will probably cover dog surfing soon….fuh real.

  2. It is abysmal how after weeks of awaiting the grand return of Epl matches the stench of deception lingers in the air incessantly … let’s be honest, that is our main reason for subscribing in the first instance. And as was ably stated by the Editor, they’re in-fact choking on their meal. Do yourselves a favor and simply unsubscribe loved ones .

  3. I likewise feel extremely cheated by Csport regarding the Premeir League coverage as it was the ONLY reason I subscribed. We should be refunded as they are still NOT delivering as promised

  4. I agree. CSports should be stripped of their rights for breach of contract. They have caused untold distress to EPL fans.

    • Gentlemen, I was desperately looking for a medium to watch EPL in the Caribbean since FLOW had stopped showing or lost the EPL live matches. I subsequently found that Csport now had the franchise. I logged onto csport and was overjoyed when I was able to watch a match with good quality. I immediately subscribed, but only 1 for month, as a precaution. That was around February 11th. The next time I tried to watch the EPL I was unable to find a live match. Since then, suffice to say that I absolutely disgusted with the lack of coverage and response from csport. Fortunately I only paid for 1 month but can imagine other viewers have lost a lot more. Something needs to be done with csport robbing paying customers and not delivering what’s being paid for!
