Thirty-four year-old batsman Johnson Charles has been recalled to the West Indies T20 International team for the last two outings of the ongoing five match series against England, which will be staged in Tarouba, Trinidad on Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 December.
Charles, who averages 22.97 from 44 T20Is with one century and four half centuries, is one of two inclusions by the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Selection Panel alongside 26-year-old pacer Oshane Thomas.

Charles replaces 26-year-old Shimron Hetmyer who scored an aggregate of three runs from nine balls in the first two T20Is against England—both won by the West Indies.
Hetmyer, who averages 20.50 from 57 T20Is with five 50s, was replaced by Sherfane Rutherford for the third T20I, which England won to narrow the series score at 2-1 to the hosts.
Now, the talented but off-form batsman is out of the 15-man squad altogether.
With regards the bowling change, the CWI Media explained that the Desmond Haynes-led selection panel opted to rest fast bowler Alzarri Joseph “in consideration of his workload including the forthcoming all-format tour of Australia in January and February”.
