Alvin, Paul among three additions to T&T squad for Thailand friendly

W Connection right back Alvin Jones and Central FC midfielder Leston Paul were among three new inclusions to the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Senior Team squad, as they prepare for next week’s trip to Thailand for international friendly action on 14 October.

Soca Warriors head coach Dennis Lawrence announced his 20-man squad today for his second clash with Asian opposition since they edged United Arab Emirates 2-0 last month.

Jones, Paul and pacy El Salvador-based forward Ricardo John have been included while winger Kathon St Hillaire, forward Marcus Joseph and midfielder Neveal Hackshaw are out. Attacking midfielder Ataulla Guerra and pacy winger Nathan Lewis—both United Soccer League (USL) players—are among the players who retained their positions.

Lawrence also invited three national under-20 players, Kierron Mason, Judah Garcia and Tyrese Bailey, to train with the local-based squad until their departure.

At present, Trinidad and Tobago are ranked 90th in the world by FIFA while Thailand are 122nd. UAE are 77th.

Trinidad and Tobago’s clash with Thailand will be played from 6pm (7am TT time) on 14 October at the Suphan Buri Municipality Stadium, Suphan Buri.
