Car care tips: How to take better care of your vehicle in 2015

Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to save money and avoid grief by taking better care of your vehicle?

Here are some tips from Toyota to make that possible:

Check your tyre pressure: It not only keeps you safe on the road, it also conserves fuel. Your vehicle’s recommended tire pressure information is usually located on the driver’s side door jamb or in the glove box. If you can’t find it there, check your owner’s manual.

Be wary of your headlights: An element of safety comes into play when referring to your headlights and individuals do complain about not seeing the road clearly at night. You can have your headlight restored at any Toyota Trinidad and Tobago Limited and eliminate potential road fatalities

Replace your air filter: Think of it as your car’s lungs. Let your car breathe by replacing clogged air filters, which can help improve acceleration time and reduce gas mileage in older cars with carburetted engines.

Check your spark plugs: A dirty, worn out or inferior spark plug can cause inconsistent firing, which may result in reduced performance and a less fuel efficient car. Choose parts designed specifically for your vehicle’s engine that are approved by the manufacturer.

Service your vehicle: Ensure you service your vehicle every 5,000 km or 3 months, whichever comes first. Even if you only have 60 minutes, you can have your vehicle serviced. Priority maintenance offers you the ability to have your vehicle serviced in just 60 minutes.

Get on the Green Line: Vehicle out of warranty, and don’t want to spend too much time or money on it?  Have your vehicle serviced in 60 Minutes for as low as $494.42 at Toyota Trinidad and Tobago Limited. Ask about our Green Line Service. Conditions apply.
