CPL 24: Patriots draft Mayers; final team rosters confirmed

West Indies allrounder Kyle Mayers was the first pick of the 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) player draft, as teams completed their business and confirmed their T20 squads for the upcoming season.

Mayers, who represented the Barbados Royals last season, will suit up for the Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots this year, alongside the likes of Sherfane Rutherford, Evin Lewis and Joshua Da Silva.

The Patriots will open the 2024 CPL season against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on Thursday 29 August from 7pm at North Sound, Antigua. Defending champions, Guyana Amazon Warriors, open their campaign against the Falcons at the same time and venue on Friday 30 August.
