Pro League scores: Lobo scores on debut as Connection edge Rangers

Former Trinidad and Tobago World Youth Cup attacker Marcus Joseph got a last minute item on his debut tonight as W Connection started their 2017 season with a 1-0 win over St Ann’s Rangers in a Pro League double header at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

Joseph was one of four debutante goal scorers in the Pro League’s opening round of matches as attacker Tyrone Charles also grabbed a debut goal in a 2-1 loss for Club Sando against Morvant Caledonia United while defender Kevon Villaroel banged home the game winner in his bow for North East Stars against Point Fortin Civic at the Arima Velodrome.

In tonight’s other affair, Defence Force skipper Jerwyn Balthazar struck early as the Army/Coast Guard combination edged Police FC 1-0 in Couva.
