PP scared of speedy divorce

Attorney General Anand Ramlogan admitted to a crisis yesterday but it was not the one that Chief Justice Ivor Archie and the rest of Trinidad and Tobago was most worried about.

The Chief Justice and the Law Association chided the Government about the haste in proclaiming the Administration of Justice (Indictable Proceedings) Act 2011 and the controversial clause 34. But it was Archie’s revelation that 4,289 divorces were granted last year which most concerned the AG.

The AG urged citizens to “move on” from the section 34 scandal but he demanded further investigation from religious leaders into the booming divorce rate.

Mr Live Wire thinks, if the People’s Partnership is really serious about saving its marriage, it should start by practicing honesty at home. And, although this should go without saying, stop sneaking around with “Sugar Daddies.”
