Cyrus, who left local Digicel Pro League champion club DIRECTV W Connection to join Hanoi last weekend, played alongside international teammate and another ex-Connection player Hughtun Hector while Argentine forward Gonzalo Marronkle completed the foreign composition players of the Ha Noi starting team.

The Dong Nai team comprised of two Brazilians, a Kenyan and a Spanish player while the remaining players fielded for either team were Vietnamese.

At present, Hanoi is third in the V-League but has two games in hand and trails leader, Binh Duong, by just three points.

Cyrus was initially selected to travel with the “Soca Warriors” to South America for friendly matches against Argentina and Iran next month. But he opted to head for Vietnam instead where he completed his move on the May 19 transfer deadline day.
