Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Senior Team head coach Derek King named seven uncapped players in his squad to face United States second-tier team, Louisville City FC, plus another three players who have not featured with the squad since he took up the post.
The two teams will square off from 8pm at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday 25 July. And it is likely to be King’s last outing before Trinidad and Tobago start their 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League A campaign.

Thus far, King is winless from five games in his second spell as National Senior Team head coach, with four regulation time defeats and one penalty shoot-out loss.
The Louisville outing will not count as an international match, though, and King travels with an under-strength team due to the unavailability of players. Still, he described the exhibition match as “another important milestone” for the team.
“This is an important step in the development of our programme, allowing our young players to gain valuable international experience in a competitive environment,” King told TTFA Media.

St Benedict’s College and San Juan Jabloteh midfielder Josiah Ochoa, a former national youth player at under-17 and under-20 level, will hope to represent the National Senior Team for the first time in Louisville—although the game will not count as an international cap.
The other uncapped players in King’s team are San Juan Jabloteh defender Rakim Cabie, Club Sando left back Jaydon Caprietta, US-based flanker Samory Powder, Switzerland-based defender Diego Nanton, US-based midfielder Caleb Borneo, and 15-year-old Prison Service FC forward and Naparima College schoolboy Adasa Richardson.
Ochoa and Caprietta represented Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers earlier this year while Richardson captained the National Under-17 Team in February.

The 22-year-old Nanton, who plays in the Swiss third division with semi-pro team Vevey Sports FC, tried out for the National Under-20 Team in 2022 but was not selected by then coach Angus Eve.
Similarly, 20-year-old Borneo, a former National Under-15 player now signed to Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2, was in coach Brian Haynes’ National Under-20 pool in 2024, but did not make the final squad.
The 25-year-old Powder, the younger brother of Soca Warriors utility player Noah Powder and a Westchester SC player, was called up in two senior squads by former head coach, Eve, but never used. He would hope for his first minutes in red, white and black gear on Saturday.

Racing United FC (Jamaica) midfielder Adriel George, Defence Force attacker Kathon St Hillaire and Philadelphia Lone Star FC (USA) forward Jariel Arthur are all travelling with King for the first time, although they have senior team experience under previous head coaches.
“As we continue building towards the Concacaf Nations League in September,” said King, “this tour presents an excellent opportunity to expose some of our younger players to a high-quality opponent in Louisville City FC, one of the USL Championship’s most successful clubs.
“We have selected a young squad with several players who are pushing strongly for places in the Nations League team, including 15-year-old Adasa Richardson and a number of talented teenagers.
Caprietta, 18, is in the National Senior Team squad to face Louisville City FC on 25 July.
