Connection are now level on points with leaders Defence Force and one point ahead of defending champions, Bankers Insurance Central FC, although the latter two clubs both have a game in hand.

Defence Force tackle North East Stars from 3.30 pm on Sunday at the Larry Gomes Stadium while Central host Morvant Caledonia United from 4 pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium.

Williams opened the scoring tonight with a 16th minute strike and, although Jamaican playmaker Fabian Reid mustered a first half equaliser for Jabloteh, veteran Andre Toussaint came up with a 66th minute winner as Connection continued their title chase.

There were loads of goalmouth action in the opening affair of tonight’s Couva double header as Police FC blew away Club Sando to rise to fifth in the standings.

The Pro League’s leading scorer, Makesi Lewis, notched his 14th goal of the league campaign from the penalty spot while Kadeem Riley and Kareem Freitas chipped in a goal apiece, as Police cruised to a three goal advantage by the break.

  1. Lasana, is Police’s Kadeem Riley the same one who just played with Pres Sando, or is it someone else?

  2. Todd Ryan scored one free kick and Sando started one of their new Grenadian signings and brought two more on from off the bench.
