St Mary’s College struck late against rivals Fatima College, courtesy of flanker Nadeem Grant, to remain the only unbeaten team in the 2026 season of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) SporTT Premiership Division.
However, their failure to take three points came at a cost, as the “Saints” were overtaken by Signal Hill Secondary at the top of the standings.

Signal Hill held on to defeat Queen’s Royal College 2-1 in Tobago, as goals by captain J’meke Watkins and Jediael Marcelle saw the former team go a point clear of previous leaders, St Mary’s.
It is now six wins in a row for Signal Hill, who shook off an opening day defeat to east Tobago outfit, Speyside Secondary.
At the Ato Boldon Stadium, St Benedict’s College dropped two points for the second successive game, as they were held 1-1 by Hillview College—after a late equaliser by midfielder Tafari Kerr.
The “La Romain Lions” are now fourth on 14 points, with Hillview fifth with 11 points, but with a game in hand.

At the Phase Two Recreation Ground in La Horquetta, Arima North Secondary got some reprieve after consecutive defeats with a 2-0 triumph over a 10-man Mucurapo West Secondary team.
Playing without their entire front three of captain Micha’el John, attacker Jaeden Samuel and forward Jediah David, the “Dial Dynamos” got first half goals from Melick Adams and Dimitre Jones. But they had to hold on as relegation-threatened Mucurapo West hit the post twice, while their captain Amenhotep Harper missed a late penalty.
Mucurapo West played the last half hour with 10 players after referee Kwinsi Williams ejected stopped Xanye Hamilton for bringing down Adams as the last defender.
Speyside and San Juan North Secondary were the biggest climbers today though.

Speyside skipped three places to eighth spot with a 6-1 whipping of Trinity College East in Tobago, with captain Riquelme Phillips scoring twice. And, on Serpentine Road in St Clair, San Juan North fought back from a goal down to defeat Malick Secondary 3-1.
Gabriel Britto got his fourth goal of the season for San Juan, which is roughly one third of the “Bourg Mulatresse Boys” total of 11 items.
At Warren Street in St Augustine, defending champions Naparima College sparked to life in the second half to defeat the “Green Machine” 3-1, with Adasa Richardson netting twice to take his overall tally to nine goals from six outings.

Only Fatima captain Jahaem “Yellows” Bailey (12 goals from seven games) has scored more than Richardson so far this season. But Bailey could not get past the St Mary’s defence on Mucurapo Road today.
It was, in fact, a game of few chances, with most of the excitement coming from the massive body of supporters for both teams.
National Under-17 winger Jeremai Nanton put Fatima ahead with a cracking near post effort in the first half.

But the Saints are made of stern stuff this season and emerged stronger after the interval. And, eventually, Grant ensured that the Frederick Street-based visitors would get a share of the spoils—as he collected a pass from captain Eran McLeod and stepped in off the right flank to beat Fatima custodian Jaiden Barnett at his first post.
St Mary’s College travel to face a resurgent Presentation College (San Fernando) at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium on Saturday, while the strength of Arima North’s recovery will be sorely tested away to Naparima College.
Elsewhere at Moka, Signal Hill will bid to make it seven straight wins against a Trinity College team that fell 5-0 to the “Pres Lions” today.
