Shabazz names 22-member T&T Women’s U-20 squad; full CONCACAF fixtures

Trinidad and Tobago Women’s National Under-20 coach Jamaal Shabazz named his 22-member squad today to challenge for a France 2018 World Cup berth.

Trinidad and Tobago host the CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva from 18-28 January. The top three nations on the final table will advance to the FIFA finals.

Trinidad and Tobago are grouped with Canada, Costa Rica and Haiti and the group winner and runner-up will advance to the knockout stage.

Shabazz selected three players from 2017 Coca-Cola National Intercol champions, Bishop Anstey High School (Port-of-Spain), who are midfielder Ranae Ward, goalkeeper K’lil Keshwar and defender Brittney Williams.

There were spots for two National Under-17 players as well with diminutive attacker Aaliyah Prince and defender Nathifa Hackshaw making the cut.

Goalkeepers: K’lil Keshwar, Malaika Dedier;

Defenders: Natisha John, Alexis Kirton, Amaya Ellis, Jaasiel Forde, Brittney Williams, Nathifa Hackshaw, Crystal Molineaux, Shadi Cecily Stoute, Shauna Lee Govia;
