Ignorance is bliss at National Security press conference

National Security Minister Jack Warner thought that he and HDC managing director Jerlean John paid the sizable and unmentionable fee to bring former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal to Trinidad.

Housing Minister Roodal Moonilal apparently knew Warner’s program better than he did and suggested O’Neal’s visit was actually funded by anonymous private individuals. Warner eventually agreed with Moonilal and disagreed with himself.

Wired868 believes that the confusion bears the hallmarks of a fine riddle: Moonilal, Warner and John were having an expensive lunch when the bill came. Who paid?

Always loathe to be left out of Warner’s business, Sport Minister Anil Roberts chimed in that O’Neal was a great choice as his story was more identifiable to the youths in the hot spot areas.

Roberts presumably does not know that Russell Latapy, Dennis Lawrence, Jason Scotland and Densill Theobald all grew up in Morvant, Laventille or Nelson Street before moving on to create sporting history and become Chaconia Gold Medal winners.

Wired868 thinks the things that MPs seem not to know would probably fill a warehouse.
